only because you A) can't weld there/ and or body is in the way B) you can but cant get the cage back in the car with it together so you refer back to A... Trust me if it is possible its been done hahaha. What ones are you referring to?

Im the tube fitter and my Father inlaw is the welder I have put tubes in place that he nor any body could weld there so close to body panels so we re plan LOL.

The ones I reposted pictures of.

Guess you don't understand the design difference; here is a not so great picture of how I believe it should be done at the rear shock tower. All the tubes converge towards a single point, and you don’t end up with unsupported tubes like your main hoop diagonal and rear diagionals.

^^^ Is that the picture of your car?

If it is or is not it doesnt matter that cage is a nice cage but I would not do any (well the 2 I see) of the foot plates like they did there are small and the rear would want to stab right through that tower that all defeats the cages purpose. if you haven't built a cage in our cars you dont fully understand how thin of metal our cars is made of.

besides im not sure how you feel any tube is unsupported on my cage on the main hoop. if your talking about the 1 inch stubs in the rear the amount of force it would take to move/bend them is to the point that it it would not make a difference moving them 1 inch down and would be impossible to weld them on the pipe. look at some of the "best" cage builders cages you will see there are much much worse out there

No, it is not my car, I just pulled it off H-T, I think it belongs to someone named Downey, I was just looking for an example. Yes, I have put a cage in an Integra, I would have posted up a picture of mine however I recently suffered a computer theft and I have not recreated all my pictures from back up yet. Not trying to be negative just wondered why you did it that way, although I do think it is possible because I have done it and seen many other examples of it done the way I suggested.

Here is another example;

I agree with Marc on the diagonal in the main hoop. I've seen that go all or nearly all the way to the floor and be fine. Not sure how it is physically done, but it is for sure possible.

His main hoop is stronger because the floor tube runs over the tunnel hump. Its true its nice to have everything come to a point but regardless his main hoop setup is stronger because of the lower cross tube.

It's way stronger to run the lower cross tube in the main hoop than to have no cross tube and run the diagnol in the main hoop to the floor just for the sake of having a node.

Yes, it certainly makes sense to have a lower horizontal when your shoulder height horizontal has a double bend in it.

What are you doing for door bars?

All is 1.75 x .095 DOM no worries there I was going to go chromoly but the normalizing process is not practical at all

door bars i was going to go with a fancy X bar with a twist but nascar/ladder bars will be what will work the way i want them

one question, is that release bearing compatible with Normal Bseries clutches like Comp clutch stg 2. or is it only to be used with twin disc clutches?
