Finally after months of stockpiling parts and wheels i've got my car back with everythin fitted.
Took a month longer than it could've been as i was rear ended in february and had to wait for insurance to sort me out with a new rear bumper and lip. Got it back wednesday night, had a slightly rough ride home as it still needs an alignment. Needs some camber dialled in front and rear to clear the arches. Spec wise i went with BC Racing coilovers, skunk2 front camber arms, j's racing rca's and ingalls rear camber and toe arm kit. Got a progress anti roll bar on order along with some new rear droplinks. Also replaced front track rod ends too. Front drop links were done for the yearly inspection in january so they're new enough. I'm happy with the setup, but cant push it yet till its aligned coz it scrubs too much. Also de-chromed some of the exterior to make it look more like a euro r, more street, less chromey pish bling, lol! Its hard to get a good pic of the wheels coz the colour changes in the light. Raised the rear 5mm to hopefully stop scrubbage, front doesnt scrub as much, probably coz there's not much liner left to melt. Feels good to get back into modding again, manifold and exhaust next after a bbk i think, lol! For the wheel ****** out there these evo8 wheels are a conservative 17" x 8" ET 38mm, a nice even fit, nothing too crazy. ![]() ![]() ![]()

IMO you could use a tad more front camber.

yeah its scrubbing like hell, waited almost a week to get this aligned now. The guy im using is normally fully booked for a day or two. But this time he was fully booked for nearly a week. I'm goin tomorrow anyway to get it fully aligned, definately some front camber, and lower the passenger side front the same as driver side front. Also need to sort the toe out on the rear wheel, lol!

thanks man.
Had it aligned yesterday and it feels so much better to drive. It will take a few days to find a damping level which is comfortable yet still works when pushed hard. I'm happy with the progress of the car so far. Next up a progress rear sway and a bbk hopefully.

I also bought ENKEI evo8 with Toyo RX888 235/45 R17. But front wheels are out of vehicle area.
So I wonder what tire you are using? mine looks like this: |

Sorry for the late reply, don't get on here much these days. I'm running the standard size for UK accords on 17's in the UK which is 225/45/17. I also have -1.5 degrees of negative camber up front using the skunk2 camber arms and -2.5 of negative camber in the rear set using the installs kit just to clear the arches with minimal rubbing. I didn't want to do any arch work just for alloys and I'm comfortable with the way it sits now.

I also run on 225/45 R17 and now my problem is fixed! Toyo R888 will remain in garage for track days.

Loving this buddy... Im across in Belfast and have bought a silver type-s.
I've found a set of evo enkeis and im very tempted. Is that standard fitment or have you got them spaced out? |

BTW I suggest your to change Nuts to original Mitsubishi EVO nuts. With Honda nuts you will damage you ENKEI's as those wheels are meant to be bolted with cylindrical nuts not cone as Honda has. and center adapters put metallic not plastic. After one track day plastic centers are smashed. Afterwards when you go over 120-140km/h it starts shaking vehicle.
I personally did change of nuts and wheel center adapters. |
