Default how much to repair laptop charge port

I tripped over my laptops wire the other day.
Now it's al loose and causing my screen to flicker.
What would it cost to fix this?
I don't want to get raped and or have them sell me a new screen. I know it's just the port.

fix it yourself. buy the new port, take apart the laptop and solder on the new port.

Pain in ***, but I'd take it apart and then solder it yourself or if you aren't sure take the board in and have someone just solder it then take it home and put it back together.

Keep track of your screws, I like to use ziplock baggies and sharpy which screws are which.

It usually costs $50-$150 to have it done by someone. You could do it yourself if you're geeky.

Don't go to Geek Squad. They're overpriced and many times don't know what the hell they're doing. Find someone knowledgeable. They're probably quoting you of how much it will cost to replace the motherboard but like I said, they're overpriced.

Hmm, a flickering screen is not the power port. If it was the power port, the computer would shut down after it's been disconnected from the power supply. Something else is wrong with your laptop.

Does it flicker or does it dim? Depending on power settings, the screen may dim when it is disconnected... Thus being the power port...
