Just swap the throttle body.

I kind of have the same problem, though not as bad. It followed me after an engine swap too. Things I didn't replace include distributor, fuel pump, intake manifold (swapped TB though). Only happens when the engine is warm, and not as often when it is cold outside.

Apparently I'm too dumb to figure out how to use a timing gun. I can never get anything showing

I bet almost anything it's your 02 sensor unplug it and see if the car runs different besides cel, if it doesn't there's your problem my car does the same ****
