i have a 98 integra gsr short block and I am installing all new main and rod bearings nothing was wrong with my engine i just decided to do a fresh rebuild on it. new bearings, water pump, oil pump ect ect....

So I had the crankshaft micro polished and bought all new acl race bearings.
I assembled everything and in the end the crankshaft spins perfect.. but it has a slight play from side to side is this normal? If not please let me know???

would you want somthing spinning 8k rpms having slight play in it ?? if so its ok

Some play is allowed, check any shop manual to see what the service limits are.

DDTECH

There should be rarely any play in it, when its torqued down.. check your thrust clearences.
