Just got back from the Hondas of New England Hardparking meet, gotta thank Joe and Chris for organizing the event Felt soo good to finally drive my car again!
Heres the rest of the interior assembly, a few more touches added in some key spots...
Felt dots for the rear cover and shock covers:
.
.
Some sound deadening mat behind the rear panel:
.
.
Also had to trim the shock covers to clear the new braces
.
.
And now the moment Ive been waiting for - the final wing restoration update . Got it back from paint this morning and took a half day from work to get a bunch of stuff done before I leave for NY tomorrow.
I got some new stainless torx hardware to replace the nasty original philips head crap. Also you can see the new rubber grommets I picked up to seal the wing to the hatch
.
.
And the star of the show!

Hrmmm curious to see how much the interior noise level changed but I'm sure I'll get a ride sooner or later
That wing looks on point man can't wait to see it in person. You and the painter did a great job! Its may seem crazy to put that much effort into the wing but things like that completely make the car.
Looking forward to the weekend

I'm curious E, why not just do dyno mat? Is it a cost issue, not OE or just wanting to try something new? The work is amazing as usual of course.

so i know you like doing things your self and what not, but your man hours put into that wing, did it really save you money over buying a real mugen wing?

I know that technically my time is worth money, but that money and the money that comes out of my bank account and pays my bills are very different haha.

I followed your lead today and eliminated some rattling in my car today. Great work on the hatch, always enjoy tuning in for updates.

"Well I have about $350 into this wing all said and done, and a mugen wing would run me 1000-1500 plus paint, and that's if I could actually find one since they're discontinued now.

makes sense Lol. and i guess it builds your skills up at the same time. so you have no issue running knock off parts as long as fitment and quality are up to par?

You did a great job on the prep work becuase thats 90% of the job but whoever painted that wing really knows how to sling the gun. Best of luck on the rest of the build buddy.
