Heres a few pics i took yesterday, the fiberglass came out great, I dont even need to add any to the top since the resin ran under the aluminum and filled out everything really nice. I also sanded down the filler on the blade and reshaped those corners slightly cause they were a little gnar...

So I narrowly avoided catastrophy today.... After work I decided to swap out the delrin upper knuckle bushings for stock since they were too noisy for daily driving. As soon as I put the car up and got the wheels off I saw that the rear upper control arms were just about broken completely off of the knuckles. Its crazy cause I just had the wheels off the other day poking around to pinpoint the creaks and everything looked fine. I think It was a combination of the delrin not having the proper compliance and the arms thin mounting brackets.
I got the new bushings pressed in but now I have to fabricate new mounting brackets for the arms. Ill get some pictures up tomorrow. You guys are gonna **** when you see how close I was to losing that upper control arm connection

So heres the Buddy Club bracket... It was literally hanging on by 1/4" of metal, on both sides
.
.
Needless to say I either needed to replace them with new camber arms or make new brackets, so I got to work
Starting life out of 1/8" flat stock...
.
.
Cut it out and bent it in the press break
.
.
Then removed the threaded portion from the old brackets and welded it from the back side to the reinforcement plate:
.
.
Welded the reinforcement and nut to the bracket:
.
.
And added some gussets for good measure
.
.
And old vs. new! I dont have pictures of them installed cause it was 11pm and I was shot lol.

That's a good looking bracket. Coat it in some POR and it will be perfect!

Re: SHG is back! Easy's EP3 goes under the knife...
So I made a DERP and left my moon roof open last night.... came out to about 3 inches of water in my center console, a puddle in my bucket and a little puddle behind the driver seat. Luckily the car was parked on the sloped part of my driveway so all the water ran to the left rear corner of the floor pan. Now Im in the process of stripping all the interior out to dry it out and then spray it down with microban to prevent any kind of smell from whatever moisture might be left when I put it back together.
On the upside this gives me a good excuse to find some little interior rattles, clean up under the panels, and install some sound deadening which ive been wanting to do. If Im not too shot Ill get some pictures up later tonight
