FINALLYYYY! An update of all the goodness Ive had going on
So after deciding to repaint the CTR bumper I started prep. I sanded out all the flaws and flaking paint and hit the spots with primer. Then wet sanded with 400 for a final finish before paint...
Here are the reasons for the respray....

Wet sand with 400? That sounds a little rough for wet sanding, no? Or is that normal for primer... I can't remember, it's been too long since I helped paint my car... NINE years ago!

If you're laying base coat or single stage, 400 is where you want to be. If you're doing a blend job and only putting base on part of the panel you don't want to sand with 400 where there will only be clear going on, more like 800 since you will be able to see the scratches through the clear

.
.
So over the last few days on my lunch breaks and a bit after work Ive been refreshing some parts and getting the rear suspension ready for re-assembly....
I cleaned, lubed, and installed the Energy Suspension bushings in the trailing arms, which after about 20k are still as good as new. This is the first time they have been serviced since install Also bolted the rear LCA's back up
.
.
The rear upper arms got a little love aswell, with a tear down and fresh coat of paint...
.
.
Last, here are some of those spherical parts I posted on the previous page. Switched from the soft rubber bushings to a custom spherical setup. There are shoulder bushings that sandwich the bearing and house the bolt that are not pictured.

believe it or not its gets pretty damn cold and windy for 3 or 4 months, cold for us anyhow lol.
hardly ever snows but ice all the time.
then its 100 or more lol
those spherical bushings in the coild look good but wont that make the ride harsh?

Good to finally see progress on the rear spherical bushings. Once you test their durability, I would like a set for my car!

Damn, no **** huh? Can no one escape this god damn winter??
I would have left the rubber bushings if it were any other chassis, but the DC5/EP3 puts the shock mount through some really funky angles, and the spherical will prevent binding
You will be the first to know

Once I have a few less projects on my plate Ill look into it. Id really like to offer them to others I just have to get pricing together. Might be more expensive than people would like since they would be done in small runs.

Whoever follows me on IG has seen these, but Here she is
New wheels are 1552 Tarmacs with custom PCD and offset Fronts are +30 now, and the rears I stepped up to an 8" wheel but kept the same offset from the 7.5" Enkeis. Im loving the wider rear and god damn, these wheels are just the ****. In person its really just stunning...
A couple cell phone pictures for now but Ill try and get some better ones soon!

Are you going to pair the rear bumper with a non usdm front or sticking w/ that setup? The wheels w/ the skirts and rear look great!
