Re: SHG is back! Easy's EP3 goes under the knife...
Hey guys! A little update finally... Word on the new wheels is that they are done in machining and going to powdercoat this week. I will hopefully be seeing them next week
I spent a bit of time thinking about what I wanted to do for lug nuts and decided on the Buddy Clubs. Theyre just so clean and crisp, and the natural looking anodized finish hits the spot
To go with them, some 949 valve stems
.
.
I also picked up a genuine CTR shift **** in reparation for the new 6 speed
.
.
Ive got alot of other things going on with the car now aswell, more updates over the next few weeks as things start coming together

looks tiiiiiite d00000dddd
The bad thing about fancy lug nuts is that they pretty much instantly get all scarred and scratched up the first time you put a torque wrench on 'em.

You know he'll come up with some fancy way of installing those lugs without scratching them!!

Making some progress now on getting the car back together, I got my trailing arms back from powdercoat after a little modification to the shock mounts. The POR was starting to look a little beat too...
.
.
I also got my ITR/Mugen header restored to put it up for sale. I decided to run the stock ported TypeS manifold for a while when I get the swap in and put the extra money towards getting the motor ready. Looking to get $300 plus shipping
.
.
Last but not least I did some cleaning behind the rear bumper, and finally got around to eliminating the bumper light harnesses...
Before:
.
.
And after... I clipped the wires and sealed them off with some heat shrink. Then tucked them in the cabin and replaced the boots with OEM plugs
.
.
Oh.... and whats this modified bumper support
.
.
I scooped up this CTR rear from another SSM owner out of CT. My hope was that it would be a plug and play deal but there are some flaws in the paint that really dont make the cut so Im going to respray the whole thing
.
.
More updates soon

Nice updates man, I like that you got an OEM 6 speed- perfect. Curious to see the new wheel setup with those lugs as well. Have you sold the Spoons?
The suspension arms look super clean, good that they are reinforced and won't have issues like before!
Time to buy more heat tape for that rear bumper

Reading this build always makes me miss my Ep3.
The only thing this car still needed are the JDM/EDM bumpers.
It's going to look perfect!

I still need the front, but all I ever see come up for sale are facelift bumpers. On the hunt for a pre-facelift in good shape!

Re: SHG is back! Easy's EP3 goes under the knife...
^^
Where I live these are fairly common, just going to be expensive to ship.
I had sent you a msg a few years ago because a friend of mine was breaking his SSM Ep3, thought of your car right away. But shipping was way expensive.
If you like I can have a look again...

Yeah I remember that... if something pops up for like, dirt cheap let me know. Not sure what the going rate is over there for bumpers.

FINALLYYYY! An update of all the goodness Ive had going on
So after deciding to repaint the CTR bumper I started prep. I sanded out all the flaws and flaking paint and hit the spots with primer. Then wet sanded with 400 for a final finish before paint...
Here are the reasons for the respray....
.
.
And after the prep, ready for the silver candy
.
.
3 layers of SSM basecoat
.
.
And after 3 layers of clear... I ran it in one spot cause I got a little horny with the wet wet, but Ive since wetsanded it out and its right as rain
.
.
I also bead blasted and painted the mounting brackets
.
.
More on the rear bumper as soon as I can get some good photos, but I also Had some spherical parts made for the race car and EP3. These are all adapter bushings for the DC5's shocks, as well as rear lower mount spherical setups for both cars. More on this soon aswell
