95 Civic CX Motor Swap Final Touches - What to check before start up?
Just wanted to check in with you guys before I turn the key.. Anything last minute things I should check and make sure are correct before I go ahead and start it?
The fuel in the car is 87 octane and about a year old, I poured some Sta-Bil in it, and then 2 gallons of 93 octane (motor calls for 93).. This will be okay, right?
Also, I'm sure air has gotten into my fuel line during the swap, will this be okay?

Re: Motor Swap Final Touches
Have engine and transmission oil in it?
Thermostat and transmission grounds connected?
Plug wires in correct firing order?
Have you triple checked for swapped sensor connectors?

Re: Motor Swap Final Touches
engine oil is up to spec, tranny fluid was just flushed/change last night with honda genuine
tranny is grounded with 2 gauge, thermostat isn't grounded, is that important?
hard to screw up, but yes, double checked
i checked once, and did some research on what could possibly be swapped, couldn't find the info i was looking for.. however, i do have 2 of these plugs, one is connected near the vtec solenoid, the other is just dangling near my intake manifold, any idea?
(not my picture obviously)
Thanks Ron, I really appreciate it, what else can be overlooked?

As far as plug wires and firing order, I think he means on the distributor which can be easy to mess up.
Did you refill your car have coolant?
Did you hook up the return for the fuel line?

The G101 ground on the thermostat housing is one of the most important engine grounds. It grounds the ECU, main relay, and many sensors.
Possibly IACV plug. What car? You need to verify that wire colors match to the sensor.
Correct

yea without the washers it will leak
make sure all fluids are in
make sure all air pocket are out of coolant
make sure it doesnt overheat(make sure fans come on)

gotcha.. i appreciate it.. gotta go to honda tomorrow and hope, hope, HOPE they they have those washers in stock.. this thing has to be running by tuesday.. its my ride to college which is a few hours away, project is startin to get suspenseful lol
edit: had some laying around.. replaced all 4 since both ends of the line were leaking.. it solved the problem at the fuel rail, but its still leaking at the fuel filter.. i tried 2 other crush washer from my d15 and its STILL leaking.. could it be something else, or could it be caused by the fact that they are used washers?

just picked one up from autozone for $20.. advanced auto, napa, HONDA and even our local hardware store didn't have the 12mm crush washers.. fastenal was closed, and autozone only had them with the filter

Re: Motor Swap Final Touches - What to check before start up?
i lost one of the washers off of my fuel filter and had to go to home depot for one. you wont have to have the exact outer diameter for the top washer but, as im sure you've seen, the bottom washer fits into a groove. i checked autozone, advanced and o'reillys. nobody has those damn washers lol. hopefully honda will have some for you.
