Safe for LSVtec without oil lines?
As the title says... I've been gathering parts for LS Vtec and waiting to get it assembled. All i have left currently is the oil lines to feed the head for Vtec. This car will not be driven on the street for a looong time. Is it safe to assemble and run it without the oil lines? It'll just be ran to drive in and out of the garage and to get it heated up for other tests etc.
Oil lines will be added in asap when i get them soon. All else is complete including the plug under the head in the oil galley and the pumps (oil water) etc.
Also to note: will not be revving the **** out of it or anything... as mentioned its just to pull it into the garage when available and to pull it out when i have other vehicles to work on. Also to operating temperature to set ignition timing etc.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. You will toast everything in the head. It will be just like running your engine with no oil in the bottom end.
BTW: I seriously hope this is a joke.

no it is not ok to even turn this thing on without running the oil line to the head. if you didnt do research pluggin the whole in the head cuts off all oil supply to the head and will seize up on you. so be smart and add the oil line before further investment

No, sorry, it wasn't a joke. I didn't realize that one small plug was the entire oil feed to the whole head. Thought it was simply a channel to the Vtec Pressure swich.
Thanks for the replies. I'm not in that big of a hurry. Just figured I had the head and block assembled now, and if it WAS just a Pressure feed galley then maybe it would have been fine. No problem, just have to push it in and out for a while longer
