Default Mpfi snafu

So, this kid at my shop did a mpfi swap with really doing much research. We've been banging our heads trying to figure out what he did wrong. Basically at this point whats happening is the engine won't rev over 3 grand. I've been looking at some of the "diy write-ups" on this swap and there seems to be variance between the couple I've read. If anybody has come across this issue and found a solution let know.

Check what codes it's giving you.

ugh mpfi isn't that hard. it's running four new wires from the ecu, removing one plug from the engine harness, adding mpfi injector plugs, changing the dizzy plug, making sure the two wires from the dizzy are hooked up correctly (blue with a green stripe and blue with a yellow stripe i believe) and hooking all their yellow wires up to one or two yellow wires or a resistor box

i've used this right up multiple times, my car had zero problems till the motor blew up, and my buddy's 91 std is still running strong

SWITCHING THE WIRES AT THE TPS:
This pretty much explains itself, just switch the two outside wires(green/white and yellow/white) around at the TPS and then you're done this step.

Did he do this?

Ok, so right now no codes, we've switched the wires on the tps sensor and, thanks for the write i'll go through and see if there something on that. We've triple checked all the wiring that we've done to make sure things are working. IDK i thought maybe there was some bad component

EDIT: So i just found out the dumbass isn't using a si resistor box and I'm not even sure if he has the right ecu.
