Default 94 Accord "Normal" fan operation

I have two 94 Accords whose cooling fans act differently from each other. The cooling fan on the "Tan" Accord comes on every time after the engine warms up. The car is not overheating, in fact in near 0 degrees temp outside the fan will come on after the engine is off (after a drive of about 5 minutes). I know that the electric fan is supposed to come on to cool the engine after shut down, but in its younger days this car almost never acted like this. My "blue" Accord has nearly the same mileage and the fan nearly never comes on after engine off. I assume the thermo switch was bad, so I replaced it. No change. I even took the old switch and rigged up a test to see if was working correctly. It closed the circuit somewhere over 200 degrees. So I think it was still good.

So the question is this… is this hurting anything to have the fan kick on every time I turn off the ignition? (other than being very annoying) Could the engine be running hotter than I think? (maybe the gauge it not registering properly) Could both the old and new thermo switches be bad?

Any thoughts?

it wont "hurt" anything except maybe kill the battery if it doent turn off...
when you say, you replaced the thermo switch, do you mean the fan switch?

Yes, I replaced the fan switch, located on the radiator side. It is called an A-106 fan switch, located in the left (radiator side) water outlet. After a short drive, and the fan running, if I unplug the switch the fan goes off, plug it in and it comes on again. So I assume the switch is so hot that it closes the circuit to the fan.

Just weird to me that it didn't use to act like this, and my other Accord doesn't do it either.
