You aren't supposed to put epoxy over etch. At least, I've always been told that is a big no no. Epoxy primer forms a mechanical bond directly to the substrate and does not require an etch primer.

I have used kirker epoxy primer and I love the stuff. Unlike other epoxies, it sands very easy and is rather cheap.

I have also heard great things about SPI (southern polyurethane) epoxy primer. They'll answer any questions you have about their products via email or phone and their p-sheets are great.

Featherfill will be fine to go over epoxy.
