New trends/styles for 2010
With the year wrapping up today and the decade ending lets all discuss what we will see in the future.
Here are some of my thought to get it started:
-I believe complete body kits will come back in vogue again. They will be more sleek than the kits from the 1990's early 2000's.
-We will see more cars from the 2000's being modified. 01-05 Civics, Accords, TSXs, etc.
-As we discussed in '08 for '09 the v6 swap will continue to grow in popularity with more of them being available and more available parts to complete/enhance the swap.
-We will see more complete restorations like Mr.Coupe's build of his Civic HX.
-Bright colored paint and pastels will be in trendy. People will use more not oem colors.
P.S.
Arthas made me do it.

offset has the potential to get really out of hand this season...
I'm in for seeing detailed restores, but I think it might be a few more years of wild trends before restores with true attention to detail take off big time.

whatever ends up happening, there will always be asshats who make me
but thankfully, there will also always be the people with good taste.
I hope to see more ground up restorations with good documentation of the build... more people tracking their cars... more people continuing to do J swaps... less people with 0 offset wheels like sport max on their civic/intergas... less people with fake body kits/bumpers on "show" cars... more people choosing interesting colors to paint their car... but less people painting their engine bay some random *** color that makes no sense with the rest of the car. I hope to see innovation, trial and error, and people making do with what they have due to the harsh economic climate.
and most of all, I hope to never ever again see a picture of a hood with stickers all over it as a "pattern." that looks SO BAD, F*%K

like this:
What was this guy thinking when he painted his car satin green and put whitewalls on it. Wow look at that hood. He was trying to show his own individual style.
Thank you Stunna Ben for the picture of my car. F what all the haters thought.
Transformation coming for 2010.

I see some trends fading away such as the low offset wheels, rusty hoods, etc. Also people modifying post 2001 Honda's instead of the usual EK,DC,EG,EF chasis.

roof racks were the worst thing to happen in 2009. I dont care if you have a bike and use it, and say you do, because your about 2% of the people on this site that use them lol
and no.. putting a bike on it and driving to meets does not count

Re: New trends/styles for 2010
I really hope that the low offest fad fades out.
and I also wish that the other type R owners would quit acting like their car is some SUPER INSANE exotic ...when at the end of the day....its just a car
And I hope there is a trend where everyone drives their car they way they should and not leave them in the garage cause it looks like it might rain in the next week or so.
