loose flywheel bolts?
i have b18C6 civic EG6...i just broke in my new exedy OEM clutch, finally i could use my car (accelerate more, higher revs), and i noticed powerloss in 7000-9000rpm.. and then the other day when i was driving hard suddenly it started to sound like something was ratteling around in the clutch. i pulled my gearbox today, and i noticed that all my flywheel bolts were loose.
any ideas why this could have happened ?
damaged bolts ?
thanks

I had this on my b18c1. had to take of tranny atleast 2 times a week to tighten them. Changed out the fluweel to a exedy and everything is good. The oem flyweel was warped were the mating surface was to the cran shaft. Make shure that surface is clean asweeel. Oh and next time putt them on some tread lock.

Butt make shure youre mating surfaces are nice and clean. ON my flywell i had an uneven mating surface witch caused the flyweel to sit incorectly causing it to woble and losen up every 2 days.
And make shure you torque them correctly and not strip any bolts. One of mines is striped. Clean out the treads with some brake parts cleaner and some compresed air.

Re: loose flywheel bolts?
I have never used threadlocker on my flywheel bolts and I have been making hundreds of horsepower for many years with no problems.
The only time I have ever had a bolt back out was on a low power single cam setup where my friend put the bolts in with an airgun because the torque wrench only went to 80 ftlbs and not the 86 or 87 as per spec.
they could back out from uneven surfaces, or more likely uneven torque. make sure the motor is not rotating at all while tightening the bolts and go diagonal on the tightening sequence similar to how you would do a tire.

[QUOTE=blackeg;43537073]What the **** is mines? Are we talking about those guys in Chile?...
Welcome to honda-tech dot efin com. May i ask you how many languages do you know of the top of youre head? I know 3 and can speak them really well so one lil grammar mistake wont make a diference. Now if you kow more then just 1 or 2 or maybe 3. Grab a cold beer.
I decided to run treadlock because one of the treads in the crank was striped. Yey more grammar mistake.
Now back to subject.
