Speedometer and electronics stop working?
When I shift to certain gears my speedometer drops down to zero and my stereo stops working briefly and then comes back up when I am finished shifting.
It usually happens when I shift from 1st to 2nd. Sometimes on other gears too.
Any ideas on what is wrong and a fix?
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if it does.
By the way, I just installed a short ram intake on my car yesterday. I never had this problem until today.

yeah, when your engine rocks from shifting, a poor connection somewhere is being affected. you have to check all of your grounds and battery connections, ie not just on the battery but check your main power supply in the underhood fuse box, etc.
you have a lose connection somewhere. now might be a good time anyway to redo all of your engine grounds and battery power connections/terminals/etc.

Re: Speedometer and electronics stop working?
they could very well be your issue. make sure you check the connections of all your engine grounds too. chassis to battery, chassis to thermostat housing, valve cover to rad support, transmission to frame rail, and any other additional grounds that might be on your car IE intake manifold, etc. if you redo the battery terminals, you might want to look into the felt battery terminal o-rings to go onto the post before you attach the terminals. and your other grounds might need new terminals, new wires, or a simple sand job on the contact areas (under bolt head, both sides of terminal, etc)
