i want to buy these tri-y replica headers that are being sold on h-t. is there a certain amount of HP i need to run these? because my b18b is all stock internally. and what kind of exhaust setup is recommended to run these effectively?

Do you need horsepower to install a part? No... not sure why you would think that. I mean, it if was a large diameter exhaust, it would hurt your power unless you were pushing some big power, especially a turbo. But an NA header... no... I don't know of any that are so wild as to only benefit serious NA and hurt everyone else. It would have to dump out the side or something for that to be the case.

Go 2.25 for NA and as big as is practical (2.5 -3) for turbo on the exhaust.

i see most of them have a 2.5" collector. can i run it into a 2 or 2.25" exhaust?

i mean are they too much exhaust flow compared to traditional bolt up headers? its either pay $300 for some greddy headers that can only handle so much horsepower or spend $300 on some replica tri-y headers where the output is much more than other designs. im not in it to waste money so thats why i wanna know.

lol, headers dont break from too much hp, maybe cheap ones might melt but greddy headers would support any type of hp you wld mak

Are you asking will it be over kill ?

Yes, You will probably loose bottom end torque but gain a little ontop.

I would probably first do intake and exhaust then move to header.

The full package of

intake, header, exhaust , cams and chipped/tuned ecu really makes the car fun.

from my experience you are better of with a 4-2-1 standard aftermarket header for your b18b until you do the other upgrades.

yes my exact question. and i want more bottom and mid than top end. i previously had dc 4-1 and they made a big difference. i have the factory integra ls e/m and catback and the apexi ws muffler. and ya i was thinkin just get the standard 4-2-1 header
