Mugen Pro.3 CR-X del Sol
UPDATE: 12/10/2013
It's been awhile since I've updated this thread. The car has had some major ups and downs since the last post. I had a shop in North Phoenix and ordered a JDM B18C Type R swap for the car. During the time that I was in California showing off a rare Honda at JCCS, my shop was broken into and the car was stripped. Rare Mugen pieces such as the wheels, header, strut bar, shift **** and my prized piece, a Mugen N1 steering wheel. Everything still missing till this day. I finally got the car running with a temporary swap a few months later and got into a minor fender bender, my fault of course. The car has been sitting since the accident of January 2013, and this January 2014 I will be rebuilding the car again.
Worst day of my life
Then after getting it running with a temporary swap, this **** happens. FML

Well I guess the best way to start of this build thread about my car is I guess some history about myself and on the car itself and it’s present condition, and the future plans that are in store for this vehicle.
For those who don’t really know me that well, I live in sunny Phoenix, Arizona and have been involved with Honda del Sol’s since 2004. I used to own a 1982 Delorean, and when I sold that I really needed a reliable daily driver. I found a Captiva Blue del Sol for sale on Autotrader, and I instantly fell in love with it after I drove it.
I eventually sold it because someone offered me WAY more than I paid for it, and I realized that this was something that I could do to make some extra cash, buying and selling del Sol’s. So I bought all the local sol’s that were decently priced and resold them. Then I started traveling to California to find other sol’s that needed minor work and resold them here in Arizona. My nickname was given to me by a friend from the Arizona del Sol club. At one of our meets he says to me, “Your like a Reverend, you save sols.” And I guess it just stuck after that.
Now the project car that i’m working on right now is a 1992 Honda del Sol SiR with Transtop. I bought it back in 2006 from a guy in Buffalo, NY. He bought it from some now defunct import company, and tried to register it as a kit car, which almost worked but he was missing some paperwork and they only gave him a plate, an issued vin, and registration, but no title.
When I first picked it up, it was a Captiva Blue color, the driverside seat was blown, and had some various dings and scratches. It was a far cry from the "perfect condition" that it was advertised as, but I didn’t care though, it was a real deal SiR, and I flew 2k miles to get here so **** it. So I drove this thing all the way from NY to AZ in about 3 days. Had a few issues, a transmission oil leak and a really really wierd ECU/fuel cut off problem, but I was happy none the less.
I drove this car like I stole it everywhere. Being on the RIGHT side is hella fun. Plus you get looks everywhere you go, and that’s just what i’m looking for because i’m an attention ***** ^_^ just keeping it real folks. lol. Sadly I ran into some legal problems in 2006 and 2007 so the car sat for awhile in my mom’s garage. I also had two half cuts that I used for some spare parts, and eventually sold them both at a profit.
Finally after much debate and consideration, I decided to tear down the car and redo it from the ground up as a Mugen CR-X Pro 3.
The Pro.3 kit from Mugen is just… in my personal opinion... sex. I fell in love with that kit after I saw Noel’s Black del Sol with the Mugen kit on it. I wanted my car to be just like his, or at least inspired by his.
First piece I picked up was the Mugen front bumper. Got it from Matt at ICB Motorsports here in Tempe/Phoenix. It was a little bit damaged but I got it at a "discount" of around $1k cash. Showing the inside tag to prove it's authenticity.
So I wanted to change the color of the car to Frost White, and to do it right, you have to tear down the whole car.
Went to visit the shop to see how things were progressing.
Mocking things up, still not finished. Don't let the pictures fool you. Car isn't done. Nothing is bolted down. Just wanted to see what it looks like put together.
Also picked up some Mugen MR-5 20th Anniversaries, fell in love with these when I saw the Tronics del Sol and new I had to have these. Drove all the way to San Jose to pick these up from JBlood, thanks bro!
So after showing some friends the cars progression, I already had cute girls wanting to take pictures with the damn thing before it was even done. OK lol.

Re: Mugen Pro.3 CR-X del Sol
Not sure how many of you have seen some of the pictures I posted of my car with a model next to it.
The reason behind all that is because I've put together a calendar to help raise money for Susan G. Komen Foundation to raise money for breast cancer research.
Since it seems that the majority of donations come from women, I thought this would be a great idea to draw donations from men, disguised as a 2010 calendar with hot girls and hot cars.
If you are interested in getting your hands on one of these calendars, we only did a run of 1000, and the calendars run $14.99 each, so the goal is to raise around $15,000.
All of the calendars will be sold on eBay and shipping should begin by December 14th.

Thanks for checking it out, and buy multiples if you can! Makes a great gift!
