Help with problem CEL light P1456

I have the car checked out twice at the dealer..and they replaced the gas cap twice....and this other part under the hood twice, but still this code keeps coming up...and so now they say its the ORVR value on top of the gas tank and that its crack and leaking..?? they say its gonna cost $600-$800 to fix, cause they're gonna need to change out the whole gas tank...any idea how to fix this besides that? Im not sure if they're just trying to rip me off..

replace the gas tank yourself would save you like a couple hundred bucks. evap really doesnt effect your drivability its not to big a deal

i looked it up and it shows A/C Compressor Control ill look into this tomarrow on my work computer and ill post on here

I just had my ORVR Valve replaced on Friday, my check engine light was coming on and off, but i dont think i was getting that code your getting, Honda fixed it, cost me $268 total, thats for the new valve, Smoke Test, 1.5 hours labour, and a diagnostic. My light would come on for a day then out for a day, repeat.
I had it replaced friday morning, the light is still off, no problems. and no new gas tank as mentioned.

i reset my CEL, and its been off for about 2 days now...if it was crack, wouldn't the CEL come back on real quick?....but ok

any link where i can find on how to install yourself? and would the gas tank fit in the trunk?

I reset mine at first as well, first time it stayed off for over a week, 2nd time it stay off for 3 days, then everyday after that it would come on a off.
If the valve is bad and not completely gone it may work for a brief period causing the CEL to stay off, once it fails again then your CEL is back on.

Also the gas tank should fit in the trunk, you may have to pop your back seats down but it will fit.
