I hate those caps, they are crap. I some how manage to blow them off the intake manifold, even though the intake sucks in, not blows out. Cheap crap they sell you at the auto zone.

I either like to weld it shut, or get a piece a 1 inch piece of vacuum hose and jam a screw in it. Its ghetto, but it works.

They're called vacuum caps. I've never had any problems with them, when I had the OEM manifold. I don't have any with the Euro R; less vacuum ports. I'm actually using a splitter on one so I can actually hook all of my lines up.

Now if your car is boosted with cheap vacuum caps, then that might be a problem. My friends car blew them right off.

Superhonda was the first honda forum I joined way back in the day. Once I got alittle wiser, I instantly got away from it. Very slow and there's no one with any real knowlege. Their is alot of helpful stuff for noobs in their sticky's.

absolutely not... did you unbolt something by accident maybe? - is there a rattle sound when you accelerate? is the gas smell only in neutral?

i'm pretty sure you just had weird timing with the brake down of something, b/c in no way shape or form should there be a gas smell from an intake

ok look i may of worded it weird..... i will retype it again =]
my intake does not smell like gas but ... wen i am in the car in neutral the gases leaving the exhaust smell more like gasoline then usual ... the only mod on the car is the CAI nothing else, so my question is, should it smell really strong or is it maybe because the car is getting colder air causing the fuel mixture to be stronger or sumthin ???????

my friend said it should go away after couple days of driving just wanted to make sure
