a lot of the negativity about turboing a h22 in comparison to the f series motors is due to the weakness of the block. you can turbo it, just make sure to keep your boost controlled and your engine running smoothly w/o detonation. if you want to go the NA route major upgrades would be cams, porting/polishing, valves, etc. you can buy high compression pistons and turn it into a NA beast. I'm sure if you had the money left over you could even convince AccordSleeperZzz to make you some ITB's. But in the end it's all about your budget, your desire for power, and how you want to use the power you're making. figure that out and then you'll get more help with ideas.

i hate when people make ignorant comments like this. there are few weeknesses in the h series frm sleeves. the weak points are rod bolts and piston ring lands. if your car is not tuned correctly the ring lands will blow out....but dont be discouraged. get good tuning software (hondata, crome etc), then build a quality turbo kit and have fun.

as for na...h22's like na. like above its all about your budget.

i agree. its all about tunning. i knew a few people running 9lbs with no problem. with the right tunning it can be done. depends what you want though. turbo as more potential but cost alot, na as power on demand but there is a point in power where you wont increase much or even at all.

thanks for all the comments
now i hear some knocking on the drivers side of the block and it didnt run out of oil i am being told that the connecting rod bearings are shot other ppl telling me that the timing belt automatic spring tensioner is shot. with that said i have some questions 1. how can i tell the difference between the two assumptions?
2. if i have to do any block work might as well build the block for N/A , what would be the necessary parts i would need ? 350 to 400 whp would be nice and keep it a daily driver
