engine and tranny swap question
hi i recently wrecked my 94 civic ex d16z6 5 speed and tweaked the frame sucks i know but i came across a 92 civic dx 4 dr d15b7 automatic got it for next to nothing body is in great shape motor runs but has low compression on #2 and 3 cylinder. #1 has 102 #2 has 75 #3 has 75 #4 has 120. my civic ex d16z6 vtec has 120, 115, 115, 115. ok i origanilly bought the 92 4 dr to put the vtec motor in but i'm curious as to wether it would be worth it or if i'd be wasting my time? plus would it be better to use the stick shift or leave it automatic? if i leave it auto do i need to get a computer for a d16z6 auto or can i use the one from the stick? and last would i have to use the cv axles from the stick if i do the full swap? let me know people in kinda a hurry thanks arland ps. what is the normal compression for the d15b7 and the d16z6 vtec?

Re: engine and tranny swap question
Sounds like fun bro you tell urself is it worth it. Its a project right *** it why not to do the swap ur gonna need a wiring harness since its a dx n a vtec motor is going in id throw the trannying but ur gonna need the set up you can you the same axles and ur gonna need a p28 computer for that vtech head if you plan on leaving it auto n you don't feel confurtable just buy a p28 computer cooming from an auto vtec.
