Default Project EM1 rebuild!!!

Since I can't sell the EM1, and my freshly rebuilt 12:1 LS/Vtec never would stop smoking i decided to part it out and rebuild the car for LOW and SLOW

its also going to be a slow build, as i just bought a new house and have a baby due Nov. 9th, but hope to have it done by time winter is over and ready for next summer and IA 2010

here are a few plans i have for the build,

1. Body Work & RePaint (new color)
2. ALL OEM B16 back in, all fresh rebuilt
3. FULL Wire Tuck (thinking maybe something from ChaseBays)
4. Maybe Brake tuck, dont really know what im getting into there
5. New Interior (boot, seats, wheel, etc)

here is a pic of what im starting with, will try to get some more when more work gets done, still in the middle of pulling the built motor, and getting everything order to have the B16 to the machine shop

yep trying to keep it CLEAN, Simple, and Reliable... bad think is i am bad at making decisions so i have no idea on paint color, wheels, etc.

thinking paint color some kinda of White, but i dont really wanna do championship white, maybe a Pearl White

prolly going to go w/ 16x7 Enkei RPF1's with a lil flare added...

those are my ideas i have running thru my head right now...

Hey I'm working on mine now. I decided to keep the fusbox under the hood but there is nothing to it if you want to put inside the car on a EM1. I just tucked all my wires and I am debating about doing the Chasebays brake line tuck. I still have questions about it. I'm trying to see if I can delete the charcoal canister and not throw a CEL on a OBD2. Mine is FBP btw

keep this post going I would like to see how it comes along.

I'm also just starting to work on my 1999 EBP EM1 (original owner) after sitting in the garage for 3 years with a JDM 97 ITR sitting in it. After going through all the phases of body kits, nitrous, turbos I decided to just sell everything including the B16A2 and put the car back to stock bought a nice B18C-R and called it a day. Now just going to rebuild the motor with all new gaskets belts etc and new tires...
Your Si looks good fresh MR paint, new rims and a fresh motor definitely got a CLEAN, Simple, and Reliable car...Good luck and keep us posted....

paint it the cadillac pearl if you go with white. That or the new white on the ford fusions. It looks so nice when clean and in the sun.

k i need some input, bout to take the block to the machine shop... but need some input

i know i said SLOW and LOW and RELIABLE, but i have these parts, should laying around and wanted some input on if i should put the pistons/rods in the block

Wiseco 9:1 81.5 pistons
Eagle Rods
Precision SC44
HKS Bov
Greedy IC w/ all piping

bad thing is i dont have the Xtra funds to finish the rest of the turbo stuff i need

so should i put the rods/pistons in and run it on the obd2 b16 ecu and save up, or should i put the OEM b16 like was going to do and throw the turbo on later, or just leave it OEM B16
