Do you just mean the calipers? I can't justify spending that much money for those things. They work just as well as ITR or S2000 clappers. Maybe a little better pedal feel, but they're not going to stop the car quicker. Not worth it to me.

They may perform the same, but they weigh less. Unsprung weight does matter. I do not know what they weigh offhand.

^^ You are correct. They are lighter, they also allow for quicker and easier pad changes, but for the majority of people (myself included) I think they're unnecessary. The amount of weight that you save won't be noticeable on 98% of the cars that use the spoon calipers. I upgraded my brakes this year on my DC4 that is slowly becoming a track car, and I thought a lot about the spoon clappers, but it in end for me, I couldn't justify spending like 4 or 5 times the amount of the ITR clappers.

^^^ I agree. I have ITR brakes on my '97 GSR. For racing, a small percentage gain is worth $$$$. For practicality, it doen't make sense.

I have them on my EG and yes, they are not cheap.
with stock ITR pads, they're not much better than stock ITR calipers.
pedal feel is great though and the rotors are much harder to warp thanks to even pad pressure with the 4-piston.
on track, i swapped out the pads for Project Mu Max500's. i was impressed how great they felt without fade (i am a noob on track though). my instructor was impressed as well as he told me to keep pushing deeper and deeper into the brake marker.
for street use, i wouldn't recommend these if you drive in the winter time with snow and slush. i splashed through a slush puddle once and the passenger caliper stopped working for nearly 10 mins! not fun, that's for sure....it eventually started working again on it's own.
They're definately lighter as each caliper feels nearly half the weight of the OEM units.
I bought them cuz they're "cheaper" here in Canada, and i've always wanted the bling with some functionality.

one of my friends have the spoon calipers on his eg
they hold
but we found out they are the same size as prelude calipers just multiple pistons ...
there are alot to choose from that are cheaper and same performance..
but if u want the JDM bling ... spoon is it
