I shorten my Fujita CAI tubing making it an SRI, during the reinstalling process, i wasn't careful enough and caused some coolant to leak out from the rubber tube. Now everytime i start the engine, i heard the bubble sound and i am pretty sure that is due to the air inside of the cooling system. My car is a 07 Fit Sport.

Does anyone know how to remove the air from the cooling system?

I only hear the sound at lower RPM range between 1K and 2K, as I increase RPM, the sound goes away.

Any idea is appreciated, thanks.

If you have been driving around and your car doesn't overheat you do not have air in your cooling system. If there really was air trapped it would block the coolant from circulating and the engine would overheat.

If you drive it and then stop the system purges itself of air by drawing coolant from the overflow tank. Make sure to check the overflow tank to be sure there is coolant in it up to the levels indicated on the side of the tank.

You are probably just paying more attention to the sound of your new intake and are just listening harder than you used to.

Yes, i've been driving for a couple of days now, putting some 250 miles since, and the engine hasn't overheated or anything.

The engine sound is now quiet than before because the cold air intake was making loud noise. I cut the tube to make it short ram.

But the bubble sound is pretty obvious.

You're right, it doesn't overheat, if there isn't air in the cooling system, i wonder where the noise comes from. Thanks

Sure you not hearing the sloshing noise from the gas tank?

probaly low fluid level from the leak, and your hearing the coolant move thru the heater core

I sold a bunch of these when I was a Snap-on dealer. This will work out the air pockets. Just let the car idle while this is attached, and keep adding coolant until there are no more bubbles.

Thaks for the inputs, the air is gone now, and i didnt do anything other than driving it as normal
