That's why I wash my car at night, when mother nature is sleeping. Sneaky bitch.

My rant is on Health Care. I pay (through work) for the best health care plan the company carries. My son was forced to go to a residential hospital for an eating disorder (6'2", 128 pounds). My insurance company tells me my plan covers 60 days, but if the company wants to make an exception, they can cover the last 30 days since the company is self-insured. So, 45 days into the stay, I contact my companies Exec VP of HR. asking if they will make the exception. They come back and tell me that because of ERISA law (Federal Law) that the company can't make any exceptions. The VP of HR stated that they would make an exception "if" federal law allowed because of my time and position in the company. My son needs the additional 30 days which is going to cost me $21,902 because of Federal Law. WTF is up with THAT.

Doesn't it also do 0-160 in 4th gear?

If you start on a steep hill, you can do 0-200+ in 6th in a Z06. Woopee...

The Z06 is in my top 5 dream cars but who gives a turd what a car can do 0-anything starting in any gear other than 1st (with maybe an occasional start in 2nd)?
Even though it can do 0-200 in 6th, it probably take 10 minutes (intentional gross exaggeration) to get there.

I've seen a stock Z06 spin the tires at a 70 mph roll doing a full throttle rev matched downshift into 4th. One of the sexiest things I've ever seen.

I don't know about you but I still care about my car. At least enough to take precautions to prevent from getting dings.

I did the same with my Si until I started getting door dings. Now I just always find a curb to park next to so I cut my chances of having a door ding in half. If I can't find a curb, I find the nicest car with a spot next to it, figuring they might take care with their doors too. I used to come out to my car after I'd parked it alone like 15 spots away from anyone 10 minutes earlier to my car surrounded by pieces of s**t, and it wasn't even like the store was busy. The weekend after I got my Si, I drove out to see my GF at Bloomsburg University. I came out to my car at the end of the weekend, and there was a key mark all of the way across my trunk. The temporary tags were still on it and I was 100 miles from home. F'in haters.

I'll park 60yds away from the closest spot, and still somehow find either a shopping cart next to my car, or a POS parked ridiculously close to mine when I return.
I find people who can afford $70k+ cars have too much money TO care about their cars. There was this guy cruising around Boston all winter, in a brand new GT-R, not caring whether the salt/sand got on it at all. I wanted to punch him every time I saw him. Meanwhile I was taking the bus most of the time, because I didn't want to take my $20k car out. <shakes head>
