Lookie what I found!

Re: Lookie what I found! (r2x)
Niiiiiiice! Congrats!
I just got mine (actually it's my wife's now) about a week and a half ago, a burgundy and pewter '99 Yukon. Awesome.
What options does that baby have on her?

Nice Tow Rig Diane!
I too have entered the Land of Those Who Own Tow Vehicles. The C5 will no longer be driven to and from events, as I bought a '97 Dodge Pickup last week.
Not as pimpy as that Tahoe (or the 'burbs of Shultz and Whitney) but it will get the job done.
I think we need to arrange some sort of Tow Vehicle AutoX/Drag Race/Something.

Nice... I love Tahoes.. We used to have one, but then we found out that it was dropped off the delivery truck, and so the dealership bought it back from us. It was nice while we had it.

You'll love it Diane, good choice. V8, body on frame, long wheelbase...good stuff. And you can store all your chit in it during the weekend, so the packing up operation truly becomes a "pull it up onto the trailer and go" affair.
And Will...
I remember the drive-it-to-the-track days. I too was proud to be the guy who was fast in a car that was driven to work the previous week. But trust me - pulling your busted-*** (128K miles for me, how about you?) car off a trailer and having it ready to go...with a guaranteed ride home...is priceless.
And Will...
l00ks like a station wagon with 4-wheel drive to me.

I want an old Crown Vic, if I ever have something to tow with it. Kind of like what Al did, but Chevy design tosses my salad...Ford rocks.

not bashing the tow part of it... just bashing the 'looks like a truck' part of it.

Yes it did... 350, 4x4, tow package, TheCaptian was over this evening supervising/helping with my first wheel bearing change (yellow miata) and seemed to think I chose well. I can't wait to try towing with it to VIR on Monday!

Congrats!!! It'll do the job fine.
I just entered the trailering crowd too. Had the truck already (wifes '02 Tahoe Z71) so all it took was finding the right trailer. Even tho I run in street tire classes and can drive to/from events, if the Subaru glass tranny breaks, or get into an off-track excursion, I now have a way to get home, or to a place to have it fixed.
That to me is worth the extra few $$.
Enjoy!

Diane, I hope you keep an eye on the front brakes. I have customers who just drive them around and barely get 30k on the brakes. As Stoner said, no diesel
