90 accord dead speedometer and code 4 on tcu
My automatic 90 accord with 101,xxx miles is driving me crazy. Earlier this week, Speedo went from 60 to 0 back to 60 back to 0 and then back up and kept working for the rest of my trip with sport light flashing. I checked the TCU and it gave me code 4 (VSS). I ordered and replaced the VSS on top of the transmission. Drove fine for about 2 miles and then went back to 0 and has stayed there. What else could be the problem? The connections are solid and there is no visible corrosion on the plugs. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

When I had issues with my spedo, it was the spedo, but I tried the VSS anyway. Do make sure that it is clipped all the way on. I thought mine was, drove around the block and had to push it back on as it is a tight fit in that area.
With the sport light being on (I assume this is the transmission sport light as I don't have an automatic transmission) make sure that the switch on the shifter is not full of goop from over the years. That film that you get inside of your windows can also build up in switches. I would squirt some rubbing alcohol into the switch as I actuate it a few times. This is at least some place to start.
