Default Question about exhaust fumes

The very end of my tailpipe has fallen off of my 88 civic up to where it connects to the muffler. Would this cause me to smell exhaust fumes more strongly especially when sitting in a drive-thru where I am close to a wall? Or could there be something else wrong with the car?

Thanks

Default Re: Question about exhaust fumes (Bird333)

More of it's getting trapped under the car now, and wafting/drifting up the sides... hehehe

Thats one of the reasons, why it's suppose to exit out past the bumper, for the most part. Sooo, you don't end up gassing youself. From the heater sucking it in, during those cold winters....
