Timing Belt Part Number Supersession
Can someone tell me WHEN Honda changed the part number for the 2001 Prelude timing belt? (It was 14400-P13-004 and is now 14400-P13-014.)
I ask because my car came with no service records, but it has the newer belt on it. I need to figure out it's maximum age.
Thanks!

I saw someone on another board said they thought the P/N changed in mid 2006...can anyone confirm this?

Your best bet will be to call a Honda dealer parts department and see if you can find someone gracious enough to see if they have any way to look it up.

Re: Timing Belt Part Number Supersession
Surprisingly (or not), a guy in the parts department said they have no way to look it up. I have a copy of the Honda EPC and it doesn't give any info on when the part number changed, just that it did. I'm kind of hoping someone just happens to recall.
Nice whp numbers in your sig, btw. Not much lower than what I have with my JRSC...though, not for long
