how can i get rid of water spots on my car
i have a 95 prelude si and the person who owned the car before me obviously did not dry the car after they washed it cause there is water spots covering almost the entire car, even on the windows. the car has a REALLY nice pait job it is a very dark blue almost black its like a pearl blue cause when it gets in the sun it has flakes that really shine. but on the other hand when i get done wahing it AND DRYING it, you can see all the water spots and it makes it look like ****. so my question is how can i get rid of these water spots both on the body and on the windows? please help me.

clay bar for the body. i would use mothers clay bar and follow up with mothers california gold 3-step wax system.
the windows im not real sure. you can probably hit it with some polish and a buffer, or hand maybe.

#0000 steel wool on the windows will take water spots off
if the clay bar/wax doesnt take it off the paint then you need to wet sand and buff.

You'd probably get a better response in the detailing section.
If it were my car, I would use Meguiar's quick detailer and clay bar, followed by a good, light cutting car polish like Meguiar's #80 speed glaze (used with a dual action orbital polisher), followed by a good wax.
I did this to my CRX which had some water spots on the hood and it came out flawless.
Found something that might help you out.

Re: how can i get rid of water spots on my car
hey i just wanted to come back and tell you guys that i got the water spots off of my car. but it took a long time and i had to go through alot of products to find the one that worked. apparently i had what they call type 2 water spots that actually got etched into my pait, so the clay bar did not work, i tryed the vinegar trick that did not work, so then i tryed meguiars untimate compound that cuts and that still did not work, i tryed just about everything, the only thing i didnt try was meguiars ScratchX. but i used something else in stead, it is 3M rubbing compound used to remove scratches swirl marks and water spots and let me tell you it worked wonders. yes granted i had to apply it twice over the hole car and in some spots 3 times. but the water spots are finally gone and my paint looks REALLY nice now. tomorrow i will clay bar the hole thing and then wax it. i wish i had some before pictures so i could show you the difference (my car was REALLY BAD), so if anyone else is having trouble with BAD water spots i would recommend 3M rubbing compound it will definetyly work, but thanks for all the help guys.
