How to do a compression test when motor is not in car?

Ok my buddy has a full ls swap thats been sitting in his garage for about a year now and im looking to take it off his hand...i was wondering is there a way to do a compression test on it sitting on floor...lmk what i will able to do...here whats still on and what off the motor..

the only thing that are OFF the motor is...
fuel rail/injector
header
no crank belt/ for alternator
dzzy off

Hook the starter up to the engine and use the starter to crank the engine for your compression test.
