Icon6 How low can you go?!?!

I've got a 1.2" drop f & r now and I've decided not low enough. I have ordered Skunk2 full coilovers and am going to drop 2.5 rear and 3 front. Also I will be doing the rear disc break conversion!

Anyway, does anyone know how much camber adjustement I'm going to need? The difference in cost between a +0-1.5 and a +0-3.5 balljoint is worth asking about. I think I'm going with SPCs adj kits. They are a local suspention company. Thanks!

my accord is dropped 1.75 in the front and 2.25 in the the rear and my camber sits at -0.8. so you'll prolly need the +0-3.5.

Anything in the front greater than +2 or so degrees of the anchor style camber kits will cause the control arm to hit the shock tower/inner fender

Yes. Mine is on Eibach Sportlines and I had to beat the hell out of mine for it to stop touching.

At 2" you start dealing with more issues than it's worth.

It ain't about minor issues like drivability, suspension travel and the inability to conquer speed bumps.

It's all about being lower than the next guy.

And kidney belts are for old guys! 17 year olds aren't even aware they have kidneys yet.

A couple of days without suspension travel will remind them REAL quick! (lol)

I'm not too worried about the kidneys! I think I'm going to go with SPCs adjustable balljoint and adjustable rear arms... Anybody have any experiance with SPC?? Don't want to buy shitty equipment!

SPC and Ingalls are basically the only two makers of adj. balljoints and are considered to be "top companies". I would trust either brand equally the same, but I went w/ Ingalls as I could get them a bit cheaper. So far they are holding up great! The build quality seems good and they are pretty heavy balljoints!

I am dropped about 2.5 inches. Roughly 1 1/2 finger gap in the front w/ 18's and 2 in the back.

Looks sexy!

Very nice, thanks for that info! Ebay has ingalls for $300 for a set f & r and it's about $380 for the SPCs. Buddy of mine has SPCs and loves them. Funny how both compaines are driving distance for me!

No problem!

Personally I have Wicked Tuning for the rear. It was only $90 and has been great.

I picked up the Wicked Tuning kit for the rear as well.

I have a 6th Gen sedan, haven't put the kit on yet, because I'm still on the stock rims, but once I put the summer's on, I'll probably need it as well as having the fenders rolled.

I wouldn't to too much lower than eibach race/ h&R race for this scenereo.
Your control arms need a certain amount of suspension travel / geometry.

.... springs are great but the control arms still break . buy aftermarket arms and watch the road.... thats my best advice...use the fogs for something other than just bein there for looks.

you said you just bought the skunk2 coilovers huh? well first off they are not full coilovers. they are struts and coilover sleeves on those struts. I have them. They are not bad. The coils are all the way down in the front, only gave me a one finger gap in the front.......not low enough....and the rear still has some more to go, but it has a one finger to match the front.

Here's a reference picture:

If you want to go low low, like slammed, you need full coilovers. Definitely. So be prepared to spend around a grand, more or less.
