i think the d series can squeeze somewhere around 220 or so, but don't quote me on that. if you build it, THEN you can really push some good numbers.

i know this is for a b-series engine but it will give you a fairly complete list of what you will end up needing if you boost your car.

Re: Turbo Kit on stock D16A6
if you do not tune you car when you end up putting a turbo on it you will run super lean when you start getting into boost thus you will likely spin a bearing or worse, toss a rod.
what psi you run really doesn't matter it's about it matters about horspower. just get your car tuned to around 180ish whp and have it tuned more on the rich side for added security. and please for god sake dont boost everywhere just to hear your damned blow off valve.

It's funny(and annoying), this place (h-t) is becoming more and more common with lazy people not wanting to do their own research, using the site a as a learning resource. Expecting to get information spoon-fed to them and expecting to have a fast, reliable, and/or cheap build.
Everyday there's threads like this... even though there's been thousands before like it. The search function works better than before, so why does the site offer it if people don't even use it? IDK.
I know my post is irrelevant to your questions, but please do use the search function. That's why the site is broken up in to specific sections.

thumbs down to you dude. Honda-tech isn't what it used to be. I was going to say that your general questions have been answered over and over. All it takes is a little time to search in the right sections for answers. Turbocharging ANY motor, whether it's Honda, Chrysler, FORD, whatever it is, will have PROS and CONS. Horsepower output has many variables, boost level, turbo size, injector rates, engine condition, tuner experience, etc. There is NO definite answer to any type of vague question like that.

Re: Turbo Kit on stock D16A6
1. Get a good turbo kit nothing from Ebay. A Garrett Super 60 or 50 trim .48 AR will be fun turbos and meat your goals. OR last the least a Ebay kit with cast mani, real Tial waste gate, a real quality BOV and a real turbo like the ones mentioned. You can also get a CRX HF exhaust manifold and turbo adapter.
2. You will need larger injectors, DSM 450cc will be fine
3. A 255lph fuel pump is a very good idea or al least a new OEM pump.
4. You will need a better clutch than stock. A stage 2 will be plenty.
5. A OBD1 conversion and a way to tune like Hondata, Neptune or Crome and a good tune on the dyno.
All are needed for a good reliable turbo setup. If you dont have $1500-2000 to spend on a simple low budget turbo kit then dont waste your time or money.
