Miracle's quest for BEWST!
My baby:
Yep... you guessed it.
The heart of my build:
Hmmmm... I wonder what's in THOSE boxes?
Some other goodies:
How about those boxes too mista?
Who here likes losing boost to belt slip?
How about some matching shiny black goodness, to match the black shiny goodness of the KB?
CDC Rear decklid blackout:
Speed of Sound Pillar pod:
Magnaflow Magnapack exhaust:
Tokico D Spec adjustable shocks:
Spec 2+ and Billet Steel flywheel:
Moroso Coolant tank:
Moroso Oil catch:
Think that about covers it for now...

Re: Miracle's quest for BEWST!
Have to ask, why not turbo over supercharger? Two guys down at the local track have turbos and they run high 10's low 11's all night then drive home. They have cobra internals and injectors. Sound amazing when they spool. Either way very nice car man should come out nice.

-Stock motor. I am not looking to upgrade the internals just yet. So I wanna save the big HP numbers for later.
-Turbo lag. I hate it. Although, I do realize that you can get a properly sized turbo for ANY application, I just LOVE.... LOVE the INSTANT torque and boost response of a supercharger, namely the Twin Screw.
-Street car. yes... even again I realize that you can have a very nice street car sporting a turbocharger. It really all comes down to personal preference really... and I just don't like waiting for boost to kick in.
When you mash the throttle with a TS blower, the boost is already ALL there... you don't have to wait for any of it. That is why I love a supercharger over a turbo... FAT, FAT torque curve, and you get all of that torque BEFORE 5,252 RPM. And it all comes in a very linear, even delivery... check out this dyno sheet:
Look at all that torque ABOVE the HP curve. That's some *** pushing the car down the track... and it holds all the way to redline, while it continues to climb, even when the HP kicks in.

It's all good man. This is just the first phase of the car too... shes going to get some forged internals and a better transmission down the road to handle about 600 at the wheels. Then I'll consider it "finished".

but as miracle said. auto X and track events (non drag) see alot of people using superchargers over turbos due to the lag. Lag is usually only prevelant on large(r) turbos however. The power band for a turbo car with lag looks exponential. very slow to rise then when the spool comes, the slope of the rpm-hp curve goes up. A supercharger may not have as steep a slope but the rpm-hp has a very consistent value for ANY rpm. One con to superchargers is that it takes power to make power.

it ALSO has part to do with the type of driving that the car will be in. (this is semi off topic of this thread)

None the less...sound of supercharger still amazing. I watched that gay show Bullrun towards the end just to see that supercharged cobra dominate.

I hear that man... one of the reasons I went with a blower over a turbo... was for the quiet nature of the car until WOT. I have heard SEVERAL S197's with turbos, and they aren't that good of a sleeper car like I am going for with mine. It's when you really get into the gas that the blower wakes up and you can really hear all of the motor going full throttle. It's awesome.

A nice addition to the Tokico D Specs I ordered, and the Steeda Sport springs already on the car... Yep... chalk up another 320 bucks spent. :-)
Maximum Motorsports (THE name in Mustang suspension) Caster/Camber plates.
Allows for 1.6 degrees of camber adjustment, and .7 degrees of caster adjustment. Allows for up to a 2.5 inch drop.
MM also stands behind their products with a lifetime warranty against bearing or plate failure. So it's money well spent. :-)
