motor mounts
well i finally got my mounts in as well as a few other things.. the mounts i personally thought were easy to do, it took me maybe a few hours with no help.. the transmission mount i have to say was a pain to get to, but the other 2 werent that bad.. however i did notice that there is a mount in the front of the engine that i did not have, i bought the mounts off a co-worker who totalled his hatch before installing them, he never even opened the box.. i was wondering if its possible to buy just the mount thats in the front of the engine..the one faceing toward the radiator?

Re: motor mounts
I really don't think replacing the front mount is needed when you have the other 3 mounts installed. I didn't replace the front mount in my Rsx.
But yes you can buy the front mount separate.

oh yeah btw, i noticed a large improvement over the tq. shock. or whatever that waste of money was! the mounts seem to put the power to the ground wayyyy better.!

Re: motor mounts
much fail in this thread....the front mount is the most important mount. Do not beleive me? Open the hood and have a friend ease the clutch out with the e brake on....see the motor trying to do a back flip? Thats your soft ft mount.....btw, inserts should be called "mount cutters". Putting hard polly inserts inside soft rubber? Think about it! Dumb, the polly acts as a knife cutting the soft rubber and boom, you have just as much if not more motor play as you did before
The reason they sell the front seperat is it is a major pia....you have to lower the subframe to remove and install the dam thing....any shop that sells mounts should sell the front by its self.....

Re: motor mounts
the back mount will take the engine flex. The engine flexes backwards towards the rear mount. The front mount is important yes but not the most important hence most companies don't include it. You could window weld the front mount if you'd like.
I have avid 75A motor mounts all but the front which is just an insert. My engine doesn't budge
