2007 CR-V Meter Panel Turns Off and On
Hi,
I owned a 2007 CR-V, I bought it from a PI.
Last Oct, I've encountered a problem with the Meter Panel; both Speed and Odo meters were not working including the fuel and temp indicator but the strange thing is that, the foot brake light, safety belt light, ABS light and VSA lights were on constantly. Still able to drive the car but without air-con as the air-con is being cut-off.
I went to my mechanic, manage to reset the Meter Panel and things came back normal... after 1 week, same problem happened again but this time, both meters came back while driving half way, this time only the engine light was on. I continue to monitor, after 1 day the engine light disappear on it's own. Initial conclusion was caused by the DVD player, changed it. Things were normal for about 2 months, it came back again last Thursday. Now, I am driving it without 2 meters indication as well as not knowing the fuel consumption.... not forgetting the air-con, it was cut-off.
Does anyone what could be the problem? It is very much affecting me.
Suspect is some wiring problems.... any advise from anyone?

Hardest thing to diagnose are electrical gremlins. Especially over the internet.
Do you not have the basic 3/36 warranty left on the CRV? I'd take it in and have it checked by the dealership, have them asses the situation.
Crappy, I know; You came here for advice, and I'm telling you go to a dealer to fix it.

Hi,
Thanks for the advice.
Has definitely sent for checked and diagnosed, results show that meter panel is not faulty. In fact, the Memory Chip was changed once when the problem was rather frequent end last year, thought it will be ok but again, the problem appears....
I suspect is wiring issue which causes a electric shock to the board once a while.
