Default CW itr Trackcar photoshoot

So I know this probably belongs in the photography forum, but figured you guys would enjoy this as well. Shot my friend Mark's itr track car...enjoy!

for full resolution pictures view here... http://www.flickr.com/photos/btmline...7617368978596/

"This is what happens when a car enthusiast / design enthusiast takes a race car and does just that...race it. Presenting Mark Krume's championship white ITR (pronounced Crew-mee). As long as i've known Mark, he's been into making his ride one of a kind, and function over flash. Even If that means locking your keys in the car as a result from staying up all night to finish your brake ducts before the shoot.

This is probably the cleanest you will ever see the car, as it's usually caked in brake dust and the hytech header is glowing red, but even under a quick wash, the car just glows perfection. Up until now, I never knew the wheels were actually white.

Mark has raced at Ginergman, Putnam, Bluegrass motorsports park, and Nashville motor speed way. The car is setup all HPDE and Mark plans on competing in Time Attack at Nashville this year.

Expect an updated list of modifications and a few words from Mark in the near future, until then, enjoy his ITR and some fun photography work.

I spent probably an hour shooting and a few more editing, but the rest are all high rez on my flickr page. CONSTRUCTIVE criticism welcomed, just please keep the bashing to a minimum

Thats cool, was just trying to say that one piece of street (or track) debris sucked up into the intake could ruin your day, month and even year.

I believe the "filter" is a velocity stack with a screen wrapped around it so no debris could enter.

it spends most of its time in the garage in between HPDE's
what kind of things are you speaking of?
Carbotech XP10's in each corner, Duralast rotors, Stoptech lines, ATE bloogoo cover the braking. The brakes work better than my tires do. the ducts are overkill for sure!

yep. the velocity stack was used in an effort to extract more power by length tuning. but we really didn't mess with it. so i should in fact get a filter on there.

thanks for the kind words gents.

good eye!

actually after speaking with them the only option was to use the universal. I wanted to stay away from drilling any extra holes, so i looked for other options.

i stumbled upon this setup for a DC5, did a little research and decided to give it a shot.
fortunately these are constructed with parts readily available to joe schmoe. for example, the brackets were milled but they only use a threaded stud in a (what seems to be) a hand tapped hole.
SO, i just relocated the stud to fit my OEM hole locations. so YES in fact, i did not have to redrill on the trunk. the tricky part was getting a bracket to mount the wing, which Mel (R Box) has offered to help me do with her mill at school and sweet CAD skillz!

Yeah man, I ask because I found it so odd they made em for dc5, but not dc2, they would get a lot more sales if they offered that app.
Ok, sweet man, good to know. Is Melanie living out there now? Last time I knew, she lived in AZ.

is this speculation or do you have evidence the wing is more functional higher? once we finish up the brackets it will raise it another .625 inches.

I was just messing around but the wing sits to low for my taste since this is a track car. I thought it would be more beneficial if the wing is closer to the roof line to get cleaner air. Either way his car still looks awsome. No hating from me.

ps-Im not trying to start any debate or argument about the wing.

i wasn't jumping down your throat.
every decision i have made for this car has had function as first priority (with the exception of the valve cover and samco's haha.)
if you have numbers to prove the wing functions better closer to the roofline i wanted to know.
if its based off of what looks good then it will be disregarded.

I agree, the J's wing is what i REALLY want, but 1300 dollars for something that functions equally as well is just not in the budget.

-street class.
