Ecu fuse question
Ok, got a short somewhere in backup fuse (7.5) circuit. Pulled radio fixed small short there. But circuit still open. Manual says radio, clock and ecu run off this. Gonna check clock next. Stuck in NC, gotta be back in ohio saturday. Question is if i run out of time, can i pulled this fuse to get back without killing something? If i can't, this short kills battery in about 5 hours of driving. Help please.

Re: Ecu fuse question
OK, update, test light shows open circuit on 7.5 fuse. Disconnected ECU, and still open on that fuse but the tester shows a significantly less pull. Thinking radio has some issues, but why the reduction in pull, is my ECU bad? Anyway to test it? Wiring to ECU could be bad, but that's a damn lot of wires.

Re: Ecu fuse question
Well the pull is within parameters of the clock, so short solved with ecu wiring. Now, could the alternator cable having too much slack kill my battery. Going to tighten it up, but would like input on that as I I'm about to drive through parts of Virginia that would scare the Deliverance guys :-)
