Default Review: Lowepro FastPack 250

Alright gents, I have had this bag for a little over a week now and I figured I would let you guys know what I think. Also I will give a little tour and such.

Pros:
Inexpensive
(Damn)Comfortable
Roomy for Gear
Movable Velcro Pads
Plenty O Pockets

Cons:
Lacks Tripod Holder
A little big for some maybe.
Not that "fast" for a fastpack.

This bag is great for going out on a day trip, or even a hike up into the hills. I wanted something to tote my gear around in that could also hold my laptop. I tend to bring my computer with me wherever I go, so it's nice to not have to carry separate bags. At my "full" load of computer and most of my gear the bag is just heavy enough to notice, but in no way uncomfortable. The only real negative thing I have to say about the bag so far is that there isn't anything to attach or hold a tripod. I think I might remedy this by getting a strip of Velcro and sewing it to the side where the netting is. Overall for the price you pay for this bag in my opinion it is well worth the cost. It is efficient enough for an all dayer, or just for taking a walk around.

Lots of padding for your back, and also on the lower buckle

Laptop Compartment side, along with opening to your gear.

Front of the bag with a pocket and lower flap that covers the zip up flap to the gear compartment.

Other side of the bag with netting. (This is where I think I might try and add some velcro to hold a tripod with the legs in the netting.)

Laptop compartment which holds a 15.4inch lappy. You could possibly squeeze a 17, but don't quote me on that.

Top Compartment is quite spacious and deep. I use it to hold my iPod, charger, misc cables, headphones etc etc...

Under flap pocket is fairly small but is still useful.

Card holder is nice, and can fit a CF in a plastic case snug.

Gear Compartment fits what I need, battery grip, charger, two or three lenses, and a pair of flashes nicely. This could possibly fit a 70-200mm if you were to take out the middle pad. Again don't quote me on that. lol

There you have it kiddies, hope this helps with any decisions you have on a bag. The Lowepro FastPack 250 gets a +1 from me. Cheers

Default Re: Review: Lowepro FastPack 250

i have been looking at getting one of these, as my comp bag broke and i grew out of my bag that the D60 came with. Looks like it would be good to take on a plane for carry-on too.. might have to pull the trigger on this.
