then to run at most tracks you'll have to put a battery cut-off switch in it. Just run like a kinetic 800 battery up front small, and works good.

You could but then you need to buy the battery tray that bolts to the frame.
Do you use this car for track or daily?

i didn't want to relocate my battery for same reason - dont want to install a kill switch

I got a mini oddessy style battery and mounted it up against the frame rail, sits right in between the tranny and the frame rail.

I purchased new 93 prelude VTEC battery cables - worked fantastic. Highly recommended mod

THE SEARCH FUNCTION SUCKS!!!!

After five minutes of time wasted searching here I just went to google and found this.

I would only recommend this setup if this is a drag car only.

In my experience putting the battery in the trunk is best, it stays clean, dry, and the engine heat doesn't get to the battery. I did mine in less than an hour and it's working great.

I say this is good for a drag car because it will allow space in the engine bay but retain all of that extra weight over the drive wheels. If you moved it to the back you would gain better weight distribution and balance for better handling but in a drag car you want the weight over the wheels.

I always thought It would be dope to relocate my battery to one of the side compartments. Although if you wanted it to still be functional (Lid open & closing) you'd have to find an extrordinarily small power supply

Speaking of weight, how much do lightweight batteries weigh these days? I though I had seen something like 10 lbs or so, maybe less, this was quite some time ago...
