well i need my engine rebuilt and ive been getting some pretty outrageous quotes for a rebuild a few $3k+ and a $2k+ i think thats too much, or is it????

anyway ive considered engine replacement but then i end up with a used engine anyway, if i rebuild i have a pretty new engine, and i want my car to last plus i still want the fuel efficiency if my d16a6 ( yes i average 40pmgs adn i dont baby it so much)

my car is smoking and burning oil, though it seems that it only smokes when i take of from a stop and i mean a normal take of not a full throttle take off

anybody a know of a shop or someone that can rebuild my engine for a resonable price?

why not try to do it yourself? i mean, if you can get a spare block that is. keep your car running, while you learn how to do a tear-down and rebuild it.

shops are gonna overcharge. i say get a checklist of the parts you need, a manual, and rebuild youself.
