Gas pedal slightly pressed = knocking sound
1993 Honda Accord LX. I'll be cruising down the road anywhere from 40-70 MPH in 4th or 5th gear. I'll slightly press the gas pedal and hear a rapid knocking sound from somewhere between the clutch and gas pedal on the engine side of the firewall. This is only heard when the pedal is slightly pressed, further increasing/letting off pedal sound goes away. My room mate's mid 90's Accord is doing the same thing. Is this a common problem? I tried searching for past threads. Could someone please share a corrective action ?

possible rear motor mount since it is vacuum operated. follow the vac line off the fire wall and disconnect at the solenoid and retest .
