Can anyone identify this transmission for me? I got it with my JDM gsr swap and it was supposed to be an s80/y80 from what I understand. (excuse the damaged case, it's been repaired)

Here you go....I can't count the teeth as the transmission's put back together.

counting zero teeth and just glancing a sec at the notches at the end of the teeth on each gear, i can tell it's a straight b16 ratio gearset. y21=non lsd b16...s21 would signify jdm lsd b16 then. i say you got lucky there and should have no worries you didn't get the gsr ratios.

You can so count the teeth without removing the gear stacks, Mark one tooth with a black sharpie and start counting.

It's from a b16. I have the same trans in my 95 del sol vtec minus the lsd, but not for long.

S21 doesn't signify LSD...Its the same trans as a Y21 and S4C(99-00 Si trans).


The LSD stamping will ID whether it is equipped with a factoy LSD or not.
