optima or duralast?

Default optima or duralast?

if i am running 2 12s and 2 amps. 800 mono. and 1700 performance tech. capacitor,4 tweeters, fogs and alarm. and my old batt is craping out fast.

which one should i get?

a autozone or optima one?

I would vote Optima yellow top. Its great for people like us who have one too many electronic gadgets in their cars. Honestly though, changing your battery will not be the last thing you do. You're probably going to have to upgrade to a bigger Alternator also. The amount of Amps you're draining is putting tremendous strain on your stock Alternator. Don't expect it to last long. Theres a great write-up in the FAQs about how to install one and what kind to get. Check it out.

optima quality has gone down hill i would get the duralast gold there cheap get the job done and have a three year replacement warranty . i just bought one and the one i got fit perfect for our cars. i did mod the tray by flattening the edges but that's it. if you want a serious system battery get a stinger,kinetik,SVR,ect ect . the part number for my battery is 34DT-DLG. you should also do a big 3 wire upgrade to get a little strain off your alternator

Avoid the optima. Had a couple both fail catastrophically. I'll never own one again.

Hmm I always use Intrastate there a little pricy but they last forever I think there the same thing that honda uses for oem batts.

i got a yellow optima in my car for about 2years now and havent had any problem im running a kicker 350.4, kicker 1000.1 and 2 kicker 10" L5

We are an Interstate Authorized dealer and we have not had any comebacks on any of the Optima Batteries for the last 10 years Red, Yellow, or Blue.
