Icon5 FS/FT - '94 Prelude Si - JDM H22A Swap, Built Trans + Tastefully Modified

Signed over the Title to the Tow Yard on 8/20/09..
I will miss her....

Car was located and was stripped... 8/10/09

My car,
(this car), was
STOLEN AGAIN! 8/7/09

Everything here is from the first theft.

--------------------------------------------------

Check the Second Post for Updates and Pictures!

I have gotten the car drivable and back in my possession. Car did not receive any mark on it's Title, so NO Rebuilt/Salvaged Title. I will be collecting and replacing missing/damaged parts as I can.

Fixed/Replaced so far...
E-Brake Cables - New
Put Si Brakes back on with new Rotor/Pads.

--------------------------------------------------

Sorry it's so long, but I like being clear and honest.. I try to give details on everything, not just some things. I could give more, and I will to anyone that wants to hear more. I'm going to be honest with you from the start on the car and/or anything you buy from me.

Hey guys.. So I've been thinking about selling the car.. But then it was stolen while I was out of town for XMas break. It was recovered, a week after I reported it, missing the wheels. Insurance was confused as heck as it's insured out of Mississippi, so it couldn't decide who was doing what.

Here's a run down of condition at a point in time... (I'll keep all this here until I fix/repair it all.)

================================================== ==================================================
Condition:
Condition when I first went to look at it in towing yard: The Sprint Hart CP-Fs I had on there were jacked. It had been sitting on the ground the whole time. It had damage to the front bumper from all the towing, moving around, etc..

- Front Bumper Damaged.
- Small dent on the front of the hood.
- Small dent on the Rad Support.
- Alarm Siren Wire was cut, and Antenna Circuit Board was pulled off the window. (Easy fix)
- Rear Brake Dust Shields are fubar'ed.
- Little Drivers Fender Damage, but not major at all.

Condition when I viewed the car after it was moved to repair shop: It was moved to a repair shop in Tempe and has been sitting there. It received a little more damage some how moving it from the towing yard to the shop.

- Missing Passenger Corner Light.
- Driver Side Inside Turning Signal is Busted

Condition after it was put on a lift: Finally got the car off the ground and on a lift.. I had the shop take the Calipers off so the stock wheels would fit.. (Why didn't I think of this before... -_- lol)

The Bad:
- It has scratches down the underside from the giant tractor fork lifts moving it.
- The bottom of the Radiator support got a small dent from the said giant tractors.. But it's no biggie.
- The only major concern is the Driver Side Axle.. It kinda appears to be at a slightly different angle than the Passenger Axle. It the Axle Shaft is slightly closer to the Strut Fork, it's not touching, just closer than the other side. The guys at the shop weren't sure about that, they don't know if it's normal or not. But if it's not, they said something could be bent, but they weren't sure what, could be a control arm or the strut itself. Also have been told to check to see if maybe an alignment might help/fix the issue.

Need to Be Replaced:
- Rear Brake Dust Shields
- E-Brake Lines
- (Other previously mentioned parts.)

The Good:
- Engine Cranks and runs smoothly. I had them crank it before I left to listen to the engine and she sounded ok from what I could tell.
- I assume the Transmission is fine since they drove it onto the lift. But it can not be driven as the front brakes are not installed.
- Also, I checked the dash while it was on to check the mileage. It's at 160,049 miles, so it was only driven a max of 25 miles from when I parked it last. So it appears the thief drove it to where he could strip the wheels off and dumped it.
- Everything should be repairable.

================================================== ==================================================
Over All Condition:
Exterior: The exterior isn't perfect.. It's has some paint rubbed off on the bumpers and has the normal battle wounds here and there on it for it's age, all mostly there from when I bought her. I purchased the car out of Memphis, TN, and it's in the condition of a usual Memphis car.. But was impressed with how clean the under side was though. She's not perfect, but I've seen no signs of previous body damage or of a wreck. No major rust, just two small spots on the Sun Roof (Normal), and one small spot on the drivers door from paint being chipped off (just surface). I've always wanted to repaint her, but I've done to much traveling to risk wasting the money.. I haven't tried winning a beauty contest with her, just wanted something fun.. And tried to keep the exterior plane as to not get unwanted attention... Obviously I failed there.. heh

Major Problem is the Front Bumper.. It's beat up pretty bad, but it could be dealt with it put back on the car properly, (it's still not pretty, but way better than nothing). After that, minor things.. Physical stuff, I could care less if it was fixed or not. Bumper is only thing I'd do if I did something.

Interior: The interior is in pretty good shape. There's a tear in the drivers side carpet near the door. There's a small crack in the Console Piece that covers the Radio and Shifter, I've super-glued it. There's a crack in the top of the dash near the glass. There's one almost unnoticeable hole in the passenger seat. Some marks in the Leather headliner.

================================================== ==================================================
Info/History: Bought the car on August 16th, 2004 @ 127,XXX miles. It is an Si, so it originally had an H23A1 w/ M2S4. Motor spun a bearing last year, Feb '08, with around 15x,000 (Have to check papers to be exact). Towed the car to Tucson to have Scott @ Collective Racing drop a swap in it. This was done last summer and it was finished around the middle of July. I have put only around 3,000 miles on the car since I got her back.. I JUST hit 160,000 miles before I went home for XMas..

Unless otherwise noted, everything that's engine related was NEW when swapped in.

================================================== ==================================================
I have all receipts from everything I've ever done to the car and just about all parts. I even still have the Original Sales Ad Clipping from the News Paper where I found it. There might be other things I'm forgetting, will update if I think of anything.

With the way it sat before, I was thinking about asking $6,500 without the Radio. And would drop the price by removing parts and replacing with stock parts. I have all the stock parts, shifter/radio/wheels/mirrors/brakes/etc.. Or I also have LOTS of other parts that I can sell with the car, if someone would want to get other items I have collected and yet to install..

Price: This will be decided obviously after it's been completely fixed and after what I decide will come with it. i.e. What brake setup and what wheels will be on it. It's Best Offer for now.

Trades: I would like to upgrade to something a little newer.. I went from a '67 Mustang (36 year old car) to the Prelude (10 years at purchase), and now something a little new would be nice.. I have other parts that can some with this to sweeten the deal and also a Fully Built All Motor H22A4 that's capable of 300whp.

S2000 - I reeeaally want to get an S2000, so if any one wants to trade that.. :D
350Z - '03 or '04
BMW - Late '90s or early '00s.
Tacoma - Late '90s or early '00s, Want 4-Door/Extended Versions.
Mini Cooper
Fit
Anything else, I'll consider, but looking more for the above..

================================================== ==================================================
Pictures:
Ignore the taillights, stock is on the car now and no stickers on the windows anymore. (Long story on both.. )

In Tucson, I think Spring '07 - Picture

After I got the wheels installed late Nov. '07. (Yes stock Lugs were on as my Kic's weren't in yet..)

As of March 4, 2009.

FINALLY got the car back today!! wooohooooo!

So came down to me having the shop fix what was needed for me to be able to drive it out of their complex. Which consisted of Brake-Related parts.

So, last week I ordered the E-Brake Lines (Last set in the Country), tried to get he Rear Dust Shields, but they're Discontinued; and New Front Rotors and Pads so they could put my old Si Calipers back on.

So I went over her again when I got back and took some pictures.. Here goes..

Oh and please cut her some slack.. lol This isn't how I treat my car.. She's been through a lot in the last two months.. So she's very dirty inside (outside, the shop washed her down for me ), and the front is fubar'ed...

Alarm Antenna Related: the connecting wire was pulled out all the way to the A-Piller, so I have 3 feet of wire hanging... Console picture shows the missing Cover where the LED used to be... And my cut alarm horn wire...

http://mlbz521.scorchgaming.com/Prel...t/CIMG3024.JPG

The "whatever they were doing in the back seat" pictures.. Pulled the corner of the seat out and pulled the plastic divider cover out some..

http://mlbz521.scorchgaming.com/Prel...t/CIMG3008.JPG

Edge of Fender and Door Damage. Hard to see but it's creased... And then how "Aligned" and connected the front bumper is.. It's just hanging there..

Stole this Bolt...
http://mlbz521.scorchgaming.com/Prel...t/CIMG3025.JPG

There's something that's supposed to go where that hole is correct? (If you have a Prelude) But I can't think of what does.. Whatever it was, it was stolen, but left the bolt on the Windshield Wiper Bonnet, I found it the first time I looked at the car. And I know that wire (goes to CC) isn't supposed to be there..
http://mlbz521.scorchgaming.com/Prel...t/CIMG3026.JPG

And the overview of the front..
http://mlbz521.scorchgaming.com/Prel...t/CIMG3013.JPG

Man.. It look like she's been in a fight and lost some teeth.. Poor thing..

Now I gotta start collecting the missing Items..
