Car is going to stay white with the black roof. Not really an extensive project, just have to get the parts that I am in need of so I can throw them on there.

Re: EG Shell Project...
Ok, I have found my swap and donar car. The car is a 97 EX Civic with a swapped JDM B16a motor/trans.
I am going to atempt this swap alone and have never done it before. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I am going from an OBD1 car to an OBD2 engine, What kind of problems will I run into? This is a VERY commmon swap so I know a lot of you have these answers. (If we were talking H22 info then I would have a lot of the knowledge, but im in the Civic world and am kinda lost.)

Re: EG Shell Project...
a jumper harness will solve your obd conversion. you will need a eg b series shift linkage,92-95 mounts,b series axles. take your time.

Re: EG Shell Project...
oh yeah.... last thing i ran into helping a friend....... the fuel line runing from the fuel filter to the fuel rail is not long enough to go around the intake tube.... must use a B series line...... (talking about the one with the banjo fitting)..... and SI wheel's i love it keeps the car clean and sleek.... along with keeping factory body lines..... that i am a fan of.....

Re: EG Shell Project...
Thanks for the information guys!
Kev- Are you lookin for any 97 civic parts?
Also, IF anyone is looking for any Integra front seats I have a set that I will let go cheap. Along with all the other interior parts from my donor car. There is an SI cluster, etc...

Re: EG Shell Project...
you can honestly use any b series shift linkages EXCEPT del sol linkages.. I have a set of 93 Gsr's in mine... you don't have to use an obd2 computer for the obd2 motor... since you're putting the motor in an eg, buy an obd1 gsr or obd1 b16 distributor thats all you really have to change on the motor when putting it in the car, you will need to take and put an intake temperature sensor somewhere.. in ur intake tube would be good.. that's where they are on the obd2 cars.. get a chipped p28 for the computer, or run a chipped p72, stock p72, stock p30... I put a JDM Obd2 b16 in my hatch a few months ago.. I just changed my distributor as I stated in this.. I didn't even change my fuel line from the fuel filter, and my intake tube goes over it.. but it is stretched so it would be good to change, plus you need the throttle cable conversion bracket or b series throttle cable... if you need to know anything else, i'll check back...

Re: EG Shell Project...
Oh yeah, you need to get a back L mount for the transmission from a 94 up integra... the Ek's have to use an Si back L mount which is going to be too short for you to use on your Eg.. The ECU from that donor car is going to be obd2, I would just buy an OBD1 ECU instead of a jumper harness... I mean the harness is going to be cheaper, but you can do more with the obd1 computer...

Re: EG Shell Project...
I also wanted to tell you that on your mounts.. I have the Ex aluminum driver side mount a 1.5 Cx tranny mount and a 97 Automatic back L mount.. the automatic back L mount will bolt up on 3 out of the 4 holes.. I had to do this because I couldn't find a mount anywhere for my car so I just got what I could, but if you can I would def. get some stiffer mounts, Hasport or whatever you may like.. because the mounts that are coming in your donor car won't bolt up, if i'm not mistaking..

Re: EG Shell Project...
I know the back L mount def. won't bolt up, it's going to be about 2 inches shorter.. it's the other 2 i'm not sure on.. but i'm leaning more towards they're not going to bolt up... i'm going to search with you.. I'm just going to double check myself lol.. don't wanna send you wrong info...

Re: EG Shell Project...
Update:
My donor car that I was going to pick up this friday, was sold yesterday out from underneathe me! The shitty part about the whole deal is that my own COUSIN was the one that did it!
-Back to the drawing board!

Re: EG Shell Project...
ah man.. that sucks dude.. Hey, you should put you an H22 over in there.. I know here the H swaps are cheaper than the B series swaps..
