Teeth knocked a little loose...will they tighten up on their own?

On new years i got into a little fight...and my front two bottom teeth are a little loose. I can move them barely with my hand...and they only moved a tiny bit from where they were supposed to be. It's been over a week and they still seem pretty much the same as when it happened. Will they tighten up by themselves or do I need to see a dentist. No insurance owns me right now..

Did you lose? Stop moving them-that will only make them more loose. I'd go see a dentist, or at least call the dentists office and ask about it.

After I got my braces off my teeth were all sorts of loose. Just give it time.

Eventually your gum tissue will expand back out to hold them in place nicely.

I got in to a fight with some skinheads back in the day and there was a lot of people getting ****ed up on both sides.

I got my teeth knocked together and one of my lower canines was actually twisted almost 90 degrees out of place. I had it twisted back in to place (emergency Dentist with no novocaine!) and it came out just fine. But the dentist warned that the nerve could have been damaged to the point where it might die.

Either way...go see a dentist!

Like others said, it'll get back to normal(ish) depending on the damage if you leave it alone. If you've left it alone for a few weeks and it hasn't changed at all, consider seeing a dentist, because something could be broken.

yeah i got in accident one time and my teeth were all loose from hitting the steering wheel. i remember waking up and feeling them all loose and bent back a little and thinking they were all going to fall out. but couple days later they were back to normal.

You'll be fine. I had some upper teeth knocked loose at a company xmas party gone bad. 3 weeks later theyre A OK.

I'd go to the dentist to atleast have an exam. Something later on down the line can happen to teeth with trauma. It is called internal resorbtion. Bascially the tooth eats itself from the inside out.

I'd listen to her, she knows what she is talking about. Most of the time they will heal, depending on the trauma, but will they heal correctly can only be determined by the doctor and what steps they take to make sure they do. I'd see a dentist immediately depending on the importance of those teeth. The dentist probably will have to mechanically splint them up to get to heal correctly, kind of like a cast for the teeth.

I got hit in the mouth with the buttstock of an AK type rifle and man my teeth hurt a while, but they dont seem loose and they didnt seem loose at the time. However, I get this weird feeling every now and then, I bet they're gonna fall out... if they do, its time to get some front teeth made out of stainless steel

gotta have a grill ;D
