I would bet money you mistakenly looked at the NON-bb version of that gt40 instead of their bb unit which would be more on par (cost wise) with the garrett unit.

I have run multiple Precision units... so far I have been very pleased with the quality and results! The only difficulty I ever had was a mix up on the options of a unit they sent me, but it was quickly picked back up and corrected.

I have to say precision has been great to deal with over the years. Thay have stood behind their product and whenever i need something done a little different they are willing to do so.

my only complaint with precision is that they wont offer a divided housing for their turbos, mainly the pt series turbos.

there are others even moreso than the 64mm GT4088. The GT4088R is COMPLETELY different than the journal bearing that you're considering. Giving us information like engine setup, power goals, and purpose would be the best thing to help us, help you.

i was thinking that a full 3.5" exhaust would be to big and not have enough back pressure but i guess with 700whp you dont need back pressure and would i gain any power with a cut out for when i go to the track

gt42 us a waste of money. You could get a BW S366XL for cheaper and it will spool faster and make more power.

the GT4294r dyno chart (100% duty cycle on boost control)

the S368 dyno chart (90% duty cycle on boost control) the distributor on the car is showing signs of crapping out, and the tires were spinning pretty decent on this pull as well i think with out spinning the car

here is an other one

word man. i was running the pt-74 gt-s and i sold i because precision does not offer the housing divided. made the switch to the bws372 and i dont think i will make the switch back to precision.if i could have got a divided turbine housing i would have stayed with precision.

they are pretty much the 2nd leading turbo company out there over all and they don't have something that all of the others do have.

It won't happen. (I know lately i've been a killjoy on a few of these threads). But you gotta get a bit more realistic here. 750whp AND try and be nice and smoother powerband on the street, and under 4 litres? Nah. The best is about 680-700whp, and that is with an S366XL.
